My yoga journey began in 2005, the same time I started my career in the healthcare field, in cardiovascular specialty. Coincidence? I think not! It’s what sparked my interest in health & wellness. Fascinated by everything I was learning about the cardiovascular system & it’s significant connection with our health, I began my own health journey. However, it wasn’t until 2016 after the ending of a chapter in my life, I reunited with my yoga practice & journaling. It was this time around I experienced the power of yoga, far beyond being an exercise, it was the catalyst to my self-development, healing, & when my purpose bloomed.
I received my health coach certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute where I learned a balance approach to wellness coaching. An education built on solid proven research and the principles of Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition (L.E.A.N.), are key to achieving optimal health. To compliment my health coach certification, I received a Behavior Change Specialist certification through American Council of Exercise (ACE), which focuses on positive psychology & motivational interviewing. I then pursued my 200 Hour Yoga certification with Selena Garefino, LLC. Since then I’ve found my purpose is to empower people as they embark their own wellness journey.
